The Desert Sands Unified School District (DSUSD) is partnering with local vaccine clinics to help protect the students and staff from preventable illnesses. The vaccines offered through this program are available at no cost to students. This partnership will help ensure that all community members are protected and feel safe in school. Details about the specific clinics and dates are available on the DSUSD website. Thank you for your support in keeping the community safe.

What Information is Needed for the DSUSD Vaccine Clinic?

Students must bring their ID and identification card when they come in for the second dose. Times are from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at District Education Center (North Building) 47-950 Dune Palms Rd, La Quinta CA 92253 (833)-624-1097. All students entering 7th grade in public and private schools show proof that they have a Tdap booster vaccine before starting school. DSUSD wants to make sure all its students are safe.

Why are More Schools Partnering with Vaccine Clinics?

As school districts across the country grapple with how best to protect students and staff from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many are turning to vaccine clinics to help mitigate the spread of the virus.

The Desert Sands Unified School District (DSUSD) in California has recently partnered with local vaccine clinics to provide vaccines to students and staff. This year's teachers plan to do everything they can to ensure everyone is safe and healthy during the upcoming months.

Vaccine clinics have also helped vaccinate more people, which is key to achieving herd immunity. Ultimately, these partnerships between schools and vaccine clinics are helping to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Student Hires Programs

Student Hires is a community organization that creates after school and expanding learning programs led by college students for disadvantaged youth in our community. We work with districts similar to DSUSD to ensure they get the support they need. Our programs increase the career readiness of K-12 students by providing them with the opportunity to explore different careers, build workplace skills, and develop a network of professional mentors.

We currently offer programs in robotics, computer science, and engineering. We also provide teachers and students with workshops about soft and hard skills. We are always looking to help schools create creative programs for their students. To become a partner, check out our partner page for more information.
