If you’re a high school senior or college student looking for a scholarship, the Sacramento Black College Expo might be the place for you. The Black College Expo, held at Sacramento State University, 6000 J St, Sacramento, CA 95819, on Saturday, November 12, will offer students scholarships on the spot. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with representatives from participating colleges.

In addition, there will be different seminars on topics such as student-athlete tips, finding money for college, how to start a business, and why to attend an HBCU. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the Sacramento Black College Expo website.

All students are encouraged to come by and meet with HBCUs and other colleges. You can get answers to your questions and educational resources right there. You should bring copies of transcripts from all high schools or colleges you have attended.

The Black College Expo is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the After Show is from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a Step Show and “Dance Off” for cash, hosted by celebrity ambassadors. Everybody has a chance to win! Students also have an opportunity to earn cash prizes by participating in raffles and answering hard challenge questions.

You do not need ACT or SAT scores, but if you have them, you can bring them too. If you get these items, some colleges might accept you right away. They will also waive the application fee, which means you can save hundreds of dollars on books and technology supplies.
